A strong Iran, necessary for the region

Many of the regional countries, particularly those threatened by US meddlesome and hypocritical policies as well as terrorism, now, more than ever, have concluded how significant and important is the existence of a powerful Iran in the region.

A strong Iran, necessary for the regionTEHRAN (Defapress)-Commenting on the same issue a few while ago, Dogu Perincek, the leader of the Turkish left-wing Patriotic Party, said the weakening of Iran’s government will be a threat to Turkey’s national security.
He said the US plans to make changes in Turkey and has undertaken efforts to this end, adding Washington has not yet given up its hope and by placing Tehran under pressure is, in fact, targeting Ankara.

Perincek urged Turkey to defend its neighboring Iran against this dangerous US-led conspiracy as the weakening and isolation of Iran will eventually pose a threat to Turkey’s integrity and unity.
Since 2016, having recognized, more than ever, the eventual threat posed by the spread of terrorism in the region to Turkey, the leaders of the country have moved closer to Iran-Russia axis.

Russia’s stance

New approaches of Russia and Turkey to the security crisis in Syria, which are closer to Iran, and formation of a new regional triangle by these three states after seven years, indicate that Moscow and Ankara are now aware of terrifying facts about the future of the region and US intentions.

Common threat

The question is what the main threat to the security of Russia and Turkey is. To answer this question, the issue is required to be looked at from two different aspects: First, there is an extremist ideology in the region which is the root cause of all regional crises; and, second, there is an economic-political agenda in the region which is led by the US.

At present, these two are conspicuously at work in the region, and, hand in hand with the Zionist regime, have formed the three sides of a triangle which using money, weapons and strong intelligence systems, plans to devour the entire region and make profound changes in it.

This extremist ideology, which is espoused mainly by some rich regional states and has given rise to a large number of Takfiri terrorists, has been overtly sponsoring terrorist groups and supplying weapons to them in the past seven years. It has given rise to violent and antihuman terrorist groups in the Middle East such as Daesh, Al- Al-Qaeda and al-Nosra. To achieve its objectives, the circle espousing this ideology is currently struggling to start a regional war.

As the second side of the triangle, the US is at present using mass destruction weapons and its regional influence to make fundamental changes to the region by weakening the governments of the regional states. Washington, whose meddlesome policies are aimed at plundering the region, is strongly supporting such heinous terrorist groups.

The third side of the triangle, Israel, wants the region to collapse to be able to expand its influence over it, which is a pipedream. To achieve this, the Zionist regime has spared no efforts to generate and exacerbate political tensions in the region and overtly supported terrorist groups in the Middle East.

Iran’s role

Iran’s positive answer to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s call for help in his war against terrorist groups in 2011, and the assistance Tehran provided Baghdad with in 2014, foiled all the imperious plots hatched by the US and those regional states which have been supporting terrorism.

Currently, the entire world acknowledges that in the absence of Iran’s advisory role in Syria and Iraq, the region would have faced with a different situation.

Russia and Turkey are now deeply aware of Iran’s role and importance in ensuring the stability and security of the region and know very well what consequences the entire region will face in case Tehran is weakened.

In addition, Iran’s resistance against move aimed at undermining the security of the region, has taught regional countries an important lesson that they should fight terrorism collectively, ensure regional security and refrain from appeasing powers outside the region.

No doubt in the future other regional states will also join this alliance and mechanism as, at present, Qatar is unofficially a member of this coalition.

Today, everybody acknowledges that Iran is the main pillar of regional security and any effort to weaken the country will have a domino effect in the region.
