Media is not just for entertainment; Video games have turned into the new-age media tools. The Blacklist Documentary, which is based on the researches of Mahdi Haqverdi Taqanaki, an activist in the area of computer game studies, seeks to shed light on the West’s media war against Iran in the latest anti-Iranian video game titled “Splinter Cell Blacklist”.

The documentary film focuses on a range of issues, including efforts to promote Iranophobia and IRGC-phobia, the subliminal advertising of the Zionist martial art of Krav Maga, an attack by a US agent on the former US embassy in Tehran which has become the headquarters of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), falsely attributing acts of terrorism at the international level to the IRGC Quds Force, acts like preparations to use chemical weapons, the character of an Iranian commander named Gen. Ali Rouhani, and many hidden and clear instances of the mentioned issues in the Splinter Cell Blacklist. The video game has been produced by Ubisoft, one of the largest producers of computer games.

Part of the documentary refers to the imaginary view of a US Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) flying over Tehran and conducting military operations, and the war of drones in the Splinter Cell Blacklist. The film also talks about the US drones of RQ-170 and Scan Eagle downed by the IRGC forces, and a drone of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement penetrating deep into the Zionist regime’s territory. It seems that the Americans intend to restore their reputation in the world through psychological operations and the medium of computer games after their image was tarnished by the war of drones.

It is noteworthy that the Blacklist Documentary was unveiled in the 2nd Fair & Festival on Islamic Revolution Digital Media at the pavilion of Basij Digital Art Center with Dr. Saffar Harandi, the cultural adviser to the commander of the IRGC, and Mr. Toyserkani, the representative of the supreme leader in Basij Organization, in attendance. Ali Hajipour did the narration and compilation for the documentary.

The documentary was published on the last day of the Sacred Defense Week, which was named
“Dignity and resistance, national unity, fighting the global arrogance” aimed at “standing with national pride and dignity in the face of the tricks of the global arrogance and international Zionism.”

Those interested may refer to the website of the cinema market www.cinemamarket.ir and purchase the documentary.
